Mark Santorelli
Mark Santorelli brings a deep passion for the game and a wealth of experience as both a former professional player and a respected coach. A standout junior player, Santorelli starred with the Chilliwack Bruins in the WHL, where he captured the WHL Scoring Title in 2007–08, finishing the season with 101 points (27 goals, 74 assists) in 72 games. His exceptional vision and puck skills earned him league-wide recognition and set the stage for a transition to the pro ranks.
Drafted 119th overall by the Nashville Predators in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Santorelli went on to play several seasons in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Milwaukee Admirals, Nashville’s top affiliate. He later extended his professional career overseas, playing in top European leagues where he continued to be a productive and reliable forward.
Coaching Career
Since retiring from professional hockey, Mark has dedicated himself to coaching and player development. For the past six seasons, he has been a key member of the BWC Hockey Academy U18 Prep coaching staff, where he plays an instrumental role in guiding young players toward junior, collegiate, and professional opportunities. His coaching philosophy emphasizes individual skill development, tactical awareness, and personal accountability within a strong team-first culture.
In addition to his coaching duties, Mark has serves as Hockey Director at Burnaby Winter Club for the past two years. In this leadership role, he oversees program development, coaching mentorship, and long-term strategic planning, helping elevate the club’s overall performance and foster a culture of excellence.

Mike Santorelli
Mike Santorelli is the Head Coach of the Burnaby Winter Club (BWC) U18 Prep team and serves as the club’s Director of Player Development. A former NHL forward and NCAA All-American, Santorelli brings elite-level experience, leadership, and insight to one of Canada’s premier youth hockey programs.
Over his NHL career (2008–2016), Santorelli played more than 400 games with six teams: the Nashville Predators, Florida Panthers, Winnipeg Jets, Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Anaheim Ducks. Drafted 178th overall by Nashville in 2004, he enjoyed his most productive season in 2010–11 with the Panthers, posting 20 goals and 41 points while playing all 82 games. Known for his elite skating, high hockey IQ, and versatile skill set, Santorelli played both center and wing. Prior to the NHL, he starred at Northern Michigan University, where he was a First-Team All-CCHA selection and an AHCA West Second-Team All-American in 2006–07. He also earned AHL All-Star honors with the Milwaukee Admirals.
Coaching Career
Widely respected for his ability to develop complete players, Santorelli combines a professional coaching approach with personal experience at hockey’s highest levels. His mentorship is a cornerstone for young athletes striving to reach their full potential. In 2024, he guided the BWC U18 Prep team to a CSSHL Championship, implementing a fast, structured, and two-way style of play. Under his leadership, BWC continues to develop players who advance to junior, collegiate, and professional hockey.
Kevin Wright
Ned Lukacevic
A former NHL draft pick of the Los Angeles Kings (4th round, 2004), Lukacevic enjoyed a professional playing career that spanned over 600 games across top leagues in North America and Europe. Known throughout his playing days as a dynamic and creative forward, Lukacevic’s high hockey IQ, speed, and offensive instincts made him a constant threat on the ice. His ability to read the game and adapt quickly has translated seamlessly into coaching, where he is recognized for his ability to develop players’ skills, decision-making, and compete level.
Coaching Career
Ned Lukacevic brings a wealth of professional experience and dynamic energy to his role as Head Coach of the U15 team at Burnaby Winter Club. Since transitioning to coaching, Lukacevic has worked alongside and learned from some of the game’s most respected minds. He has co-coached with current Vancouver Canucks coach Jason Krog and long-time junior hockey leader Burt Henderson, gaining valuable insight into elite player development and team systems.
Now leading the U15 program at BWC, Lukacevic is committed to fostering a high-performance environment where players are challenged to grow both on and off the ice. With a professional pedigree and a passion for mentorship, he is focused on helping young athletes reach their full potential and prepare for the next level of their hockey journey.
Dale Lupul
Dale enjoyed a highly accomplished playing career that spanned junior, collegiate, and professional levels. He played six seasons in the Central Hockey League (CHL) and earned an invitation to the New York Islanders Training Camp, showcasing his ability to compete at the highest levels.
At the collegiate level, Dale was a standout defenseman for the University of Wisconsin-Superior, where he was recognized as a four-time NCAA All-American—a rare and prestigious honor that speaks to his consistent excellence on the ice. Before his NCAA career, Dale starred in the BCHL with the Burnaby Bulldogs, where he earned Defenseman of the Year honors and was named to the BCHL All-Star Team three times.
Coaching Career
After Dale’s playing career he transitioned into coaching brining his wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to his coaching roles. Most recently serving as an Assistant Coach with the BWC U18 Prep team, he helped guide and mentor elite-level athletes to prepare for junior and collegiate hockey. Prior to BWC, Dale spent seven seasons coaching with Ridge Meadows Minor Hockey Association (RMMHA), where he played a pivotal role in player development across various age groups. One of his standout accomplishments came when he led the first team in RMMHA history to compete at the prestigious Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament, a milestone achievement for the association. In addition to his minor hockey contributions, Dale has also worked with BC Hockey’s Program of Excellence (POE) as a coach at Regional Camps, supporting the growth of high-performance athletes across the province. Dale’s deep understanding of the game, combined with his leadership and commitment to player development, makes him an asset to any program.
Burt Henderson
Burt Henderson is a highly respected coach, former professional player, and accomplished hockey executive with a proven track record of championship success and player development. Known for his player-first philosophy, Burt emphasizes skill development, discipline, and leadership—fostering a culture where athletes grow both on and off the ice.
A proud graduate of the Burnaby Winter Club (BWC), Burt’s playing career was marked by standout achievements:
- Two-time Provincial Champion with BWC
- BCHL Centennial Cup Champion with the Kelowna Spartans at age 17
- Three seasons in the WHL with the Kelowna Rockets, serving as team captain and earning All-Star recognition
Following junior hockey, Burt embarked on a 13-year professional career, playing across North America, Asia, and Europe
Coaching Career
Burt began his coaching journey back where it all started—at BWC—as Associate Head Coach of the U15 Bantam team, helping lead the team to two Western Canadian Championships in three seasons. He also coached both his sons at the U7 and U9 levels, reinforcing his deep-rooted commitment to the development of young athletes.
He then served as President, General Manager, and Head Coach of the Langley Trappers (PJHL) for four years, guiding the team to a league final in just his second season. Burt later transitioned to the Langley Rivermen (BCHL) as GM and Head Coach, leading the team to its first-ever Coastal Conference Final and earning selection as Head Coach of the BCHL Coastal Division All-Star Team.
Now back at BWC Academy, Burt brings full-circle experience—from elite player to international pro, from championship coach to hockey executive. His coaching philosophy remains rooted in skill development, mental resilience, and team-first values, shaping the next generation of elite hockey talent with the same passion and dedication that defined his own career.
Mack Gray
Mack is a dedicated hockey professional with a strong background as both a player and a coach. A former defenseman in the BCHL with the Surrey Eagles, Mack developed a deep understanding of the game at a high level of junior hockey. His on-ice experience has seamlessly translated into coaching, where he has spent the past five seasons at BWC Academy, helping guide and develop players as they progress to the next stages of their hockey careers.
Coaching Career
At BWC Academy, Mack has coached alongside Enio Sacilotto for the past five seasons and lead their team to capturing the CSSHL U17 Championship in 2023. Mack has built a strong reputation for his commitment to skill development and teaching hockey IQ. His coaching philosophy centers on hard work, discipline, and continuous improvement, making him a trusted mentor for young athletes striving to reach their full potential.
Mack continues to make a meaningful impact in the hockey community, currently also working with the U11 age group, where he focuses on building strong fundamentals and a love for the game from an early age.
Dave Wilkie
Dave grew up and played minor hockey in Vancouver, moving up the ranks to play for the Grandview Steelers and Penticton Panthers (Vees) Junior hockey teams. After a notable junior career, Dave played professionally in the British National and Premier Hockey Leagues.
Coaching Career
Upon returning from overseas, Dave turned his attention to coaching and has coached across the Lower Mainland for multiple minor hockey associations, the PJHL, and the BCEHL where he was recognized as U17AAA coach of the year by BC Hockey for the 2023/24 season. Dave Wilkie is returning to the BWC Academy Program for the 2025/26 season as the Head Coach of the U17 team, where Dave brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as a player, coach, evaluator, and mentor.
Enio Sacilotto
With over four decades of coaching experience across elite hockey leagues worldwide, Enio Sacilotto brings a wealth of expertise to the U17 Prep team at Burnaby Winter Club. A championship-winning coach, he has led teams to success at the IIHF World Championships, the Western Hockey League (WHL), and various European leagues. Specializing in player development, mental training, and strategic game planning, Enio is dedicated to fostering excellence on and off the ice. His extensive career includes roles in leadership, mentorship, and performance coaching, making him a highly respected figure in the hockey community.

Tyler Sandhu
Tyler Sandhu is a Richmond, BC native who brings a strong blend of elite playing experience and modern coaching insight to the development of young hockey players. Known for his leadership, hockey IQ, and technical skill, Tyler has successfully transitioned from a standout junior and collegiate career into a dedicated coaching role focused on player growth and performance.
Tyler was selected by the Portland Winterhawks in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft. Over five seasons in the Western Hockey League (WHL), he made a significant impact, culminating in a career-best season as captain of the Tri-City Americans, where he recorded 83 points in 72 games.
Following his WHL career, Tyler continued to lead on and off the ice at the University of British Columbia (UBC), where he captained the UBC Thunderbirds and amassed over 100 points in U SPORTS competition. His playing career extended professionally to the ECHL and Austria, adding valuable international experience to his resume.
Coaching Career
Now fully immersed in coaching, Tyler as spent time as Associate coach in the BCEHL and now currently an associate coach for the U17 team at BWC Academy. Tyler focuses on skill development, hockey IQ, and leadership, working closely with players to elevate their performance and confidence. His personal experience through every stage of the development pathway—from minor hockey to professional ranks—gives him a unique and relatable perspective as a mentor and coach.

Chris Rengert
Chris Rengert is the Strength & Conditioning Coach for Burnaby Winter Club (BWC) Academy, where he plays a key role in developing high-performance hockey athletes. A former junior and university-level hockey player, Chris brings a unique blend of firsthand playing experience and advanced sport science expertise to his work.
Chris is the owner and founder of Rengert Sports, a performance training company that has helped develop athletes at the NHL, AHL, NCAA, WHL, and BCHL levels. Over the past 20+ years, he has worked with elite hockey players and high-level athletes across a variety of sports, building individualized programs that emphasize strength, speed, mobility, and long-term athletic development.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and is both a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA and a Certified Performance and Sport Scientist (CPSS). Chris has continued to advance his expertise through specialized certifications including EXOS Performance Specialist and FMT Mobility Specialist.
At BWC Academy, Chris applies his deep knowledge and experience to support the development of complete athletes—focusing not only on performance enhancement, but also on injury prevention, recovery, and longevity in sport. His dual perspective as a former player and leading-edge performance coach makes him a vital asset to BWC’s elite hockey development program.
Chelsea Travis
Chelsea is a Certified Athletic Therapist and First Responder based in North Vancouver, British Columbia. She earned her Bachelor of Athletic and Exercise Therapy and became certified as an Athletic Therapist in 2022.
Chelsea has built a strong reputation working with organizations such as Field Hockey Canada, BC Rugby, BC Hockey, and the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL), supporting athletes in both training and competition settings. She is recognized for her dedication to helping athletes safely return to play while improving overall performance and resilience.
Her commitment to the profession was further recognized when she received a Merit Award from the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association in 2025 for her emergency skills and contributions to athletic therapy.
Tavin Grant
Bruno Delmaestro
Bruno has a strong background in skating, having been a three-time Italian National figure skating champion, European and world competitor, and a hockey player. He has been able to transfer this success to his coaching and has been training hockey players, figure skaters and coaches for the past 39 years. He has developed his own theory and methods for teaching hockey, ringette, and figure skating. He is currently a NCCP Level 4 Certified coach in Canada.
Bruno has coached many of his figure skaters to National and International medals, and world competitors. In 1999, 2001 and 2006 he was selected as the Competitive Coach of the Year for the British Columbia and Yukon Sections of Skate Canada. He has developed National champions in figure skating for Canada, Finland, Singapore and Hong Kong.
In hockey, Bruno has trained players who have been Drafted and have played in the N.H.L., Team Canada, European, and Asian hockey leagues, W.H.L., B.C.H.L.,NCAA as well as players who have been awarded university scholarships in North America. For the past 6 years, Bruno has trained Connor Bedard in skating, the 2023 #1 draft pick in the NHL. Bruno is also a Skate Canada Master CanPowerSkate Course Conductor and has worked with many different minor hockey associations who have used his skating programs.
