Logan Henry and Justin Moon have been named to Team BC for the 2025 WHL Cup in Red Deer, Alberta — a tournament that showcases the best U16 talent from across Western Canada and serves as a key stepping stone toward major junior hockey.

Henry, a product of the BWC Academy, and Moon, who has developed through both his Minor Hockey Association and the Academy, earned spots on a 20-player roster announced last week by BC Hockey.

“The WHL Cup is a highly anticipated tournament every year as it shows the dedication and talent of players from B.C. and Yukon,” said Fred Zweep, Commissioner of BC Hockey’s Program of Excellence. “We eagerly anticipate watching those selected to Team BC compete and continue to develop on this exciting stage.”

The two young forwards will also have a familiar face behind the bench. BWC Academy coach Dan Cioffi has been named an assistant coach for Team BC, bringing his experience and leadership to the provincial stage alongside head coach James Pollock and fellow assistant Jackson Playfair.

The WHL Cup schedule will be released in the coming weeks. BWC congratulates Henry and Moon on their selection and looks forward to following their journey on the national stage.
